Is the MASA seminar actually free?

By Alston Ebron, Licensed Agent · May 2, 2026

Educational seminar room with seniors learning about medical transport coverage options

Short answer: yes, the seminar is free. XactInsure runs MASA presentations four to five days a week across Southwest Florida, and attending costs nothing — no ticket, no purchase obligation, no pressure at the door.

What the free seminar covers

  • What the MASA membership actually is: a membership program — not insurance — that contracts to cover emergency medical transport costs, most notably air ambulance, per its member agreement.
  • What Medicare already covers for ambulance transport (80% of the approved amount after the Part B deductible) and where the gaps sit.
  • Real examples of what air and ground ambulance bills look like in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties.
  • Time for your questions, answered in plain English.

Where cost is discussed

Membership pricing is never the subject of the public presentation. If you want the numbers for your household, they are covered one-on-one — by phone or in person — so nothing is presented as a public "special" and nobody feels rushed.

Who the seminar fits

Mostly Original Medicare members without a supplement, snowbirds who spend part of the year far from home, and anyone who has seen (or worried about) a five-figure air ambulance bill. If you already have Medigap Plan G, your transport coinsurance is largely covered — we will tell you that honestly before anything else.
