The terms that come with this estimate
Last updated 25 October 2026. These terms cover the XactInsure ACA plan
price calculator at /aca/, including the pages behind it and both estimate
request forms. XactInsure is a licensed Florida health insurance agency serving Cape
Coral and the surrounding Southwest Florida area.
1. What this calculator is
A calculator. It applies two published tables — the 2026 applicable percentages from Rev. Proc. 2025-25 and the HHS poverty guidelines that govern the 2026 coverage year — to the premium a Marketplace plan actually publishes for your area, and shows you the result. Ages come from the dates of birth you enter, worked out as of the first day of the plan year. Every figure is arithmetic on published inputs. None of it is generated by a language model, and none of it is a prediction of what you will be charged.
2. What it is not
- Not an offer of insurance and not a binder, quote or contract of coverage.
- Not a determination of eligibility. The Marketplace determines premium tax credit and cost-sharing eligibility when an application is submitted and adjudicated; Florida Medicaid determines Medicaid eligibility.
- Not tax advice. The credit is a tax credit governed by IRC section 36B, and it is reconciled against your actual income when you file. A tax professional is the right person for a tax question.
- Not advice about a specific plan. We publish the price range of the plans in your area; deciding which contract suits you is between you and a licensed agent.
3. Where the numbers come from
The applicable-percentage table, the poverty guidelines and the premiums are each recorded with their source URL and the date this project read them. Those citations appear on the result page itself and in full on the methodology page. If a source is restated, the figures change the next time the data is rebuilt, and the build records a hash of every input file.
4. What we model, and what we label
The premium tax credit for the 2026 coverage year is modelled on the law in effect for that year, which is what the page says it models. Florida is priced county by county. Twenty-nine other states file a state-level benchmark, and the result says so where that is what was used. A state with no published benchmark is labelled as priced by hand, and the figure shown there is a national indication rather than a quote. Where an age falls outside the range carriers publish rates for, the result says which ages were carried over. A figure that is not sourced and not labelled does not appear on the page.
5. The consent box
Both forms send only when the consent box is ticked, and the box is never pre-ticked. What you agree to is the sentence shown beside it, in full, and we store that sentence with its version and the time you ticked it. Consent is not required to buy anything, and you can withdraw it at any time by calling (239) 341-9545.
6. Income you type versus income the law uses
You type a yearly income figure. The law uses modified adjusted gross income, which can differ — from interest, from non-taxable Social Security, from foreign income, from a mid-year change. A close figure gives a close estimate, and the Marketplace uses the figure on your application. If income turns out higher than the figure your credit was based on, some or all of the credit can be repaid at filing; that reconciliation is a feature of the credit and not of this page.
7. Availability
The calculator is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will be available at a particular moment or that a figure is free of error. If a figure looks wrong to you, tell us and we will find out why — that is genuinely useful to us, and the contact details are below.
8. Using it
Use it for your own household, or for a household you are helping. Do not use it to submit requests for other people without their knowledge, and do not automate requests against it. The endpoints are rate-limited and abuse is blocked.
